Earthwatch launches Wild Days for children at home

With schools closed almost entirely, many parents will be scratching their heads and trying to figure out how to keep their children entertained for the next couple of months. Thankfully, environmental charity Earthwatch has come to the rescue with the timely launch of Wild Days – a nature-based activity programme for primary school children that can be done from home.

11 London's Harry Hunt, 4

For just a small donation to the charity, families can enrol their children in Wild Days and receive daily hour-long videos full of games, crafts and project work. The content for Wild Days has been specially put together by scientists and nature enthusiasts and is presented by Michaela Strachan and Nick Baker from The Really Wild Show. Other ambassadors for Wild Days include naturalist Mya-Rose Craig and conservationist Bella Lack.

11 London worked with Earthwatch on the Wild Days launch, creating video content and using our Social Media Labs programme to spread the word. The creative was a whole team effort, and even included the youngest member of 11 London – Harry Hunt, age four – who stepped in as an emergency loo-roll binocular model.

For more information about how you can sign up to Wild Days and join in the fun, please visit the website here.
